British Ambassador to Spain, Simon Manley recently wrote to key stakeholders in the Spanish tourism industry informing them of the steps taken by the UK government to tackle fraudulent sickness claims, an issue which has had a serious impact both on hoteliers in Spain and the UK package holiday industry.

On Saturday the 29th of October 2016, in Corralejo, Fuerteventura, theVIII Edition of theALLTOURS International Half Marathon Dunes of Fuerteventura  & V Edition of the 8km Race call "El Quintillo", will be taking place. 

This extraordinary trial , will be located during the major part of its route, in the heart of the Natural Park “Dunas de Corralejo” (Corralejo Sand Dunes).

 Car break-ins are the third biggest cause of UK passport theft in the Canary Islands and 91% of victims are tourists. In a bid to drive down passport  thefts, the British Consulates in Las Palmas & Tenerife have partnered with CICAR, one of the biggest car hire firms in the Canary Islands, to reduce  theft from vehicles.

  If you take a ferry over to Isla de Lobos, you can visit the beautiful Rustic Village of La Oliva, at one point many years ago this was the capitol of the Island  and has some serious history steeped within its beauty. A highlight of the area is the Colonel’s house and Legend has it that there is hidden treasure under  the estate.
