The Astronomical Association of Fuerteventura will open a pioneering youth section in Spain

The Astronomical Association of Fuerteventura will have a youth section that will be a pioneer in Spain. This has been advanced by Carmelo Cabrera, president of the AAF, which has been promoting initiatives in Fuerteventura for 22 years and aims to strengthen its openness to the young.

Carmelo Cabrera himself has advanced to the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, who will be able to be members of this association "young people between the ages of 13 and 23 who would be responsible for carrying out outreach and volunteer work." The Juvenile section will function with its own assembly and positions, as president, secretary or treasurer.

Carmelo Cabrera says that the young people who are part of this association will be able to participate, starting next November, in all the activities that the organization has planned.

Carmelo Cabrera has encouraged the young people of the island to join this initiative "because in addition to cultural enrichment, they will have support from the association when it comes to travel and other activities."

A first meeting has already been called, scheduled for Friday, October 20 at 5:30 p.m., at the Multipurpose Center of El Charco in Puerto del Rosario.
