Guardia Civil deployment in the snow

More than 30 vehicles with over 70 passengers needed the help of the Guardia Civil rescue unit last Monday

They had been caught out by the heavy snowfalls and could not continue. Under police escort, they were returned to safer roads. With the continuing snowfalls, the Mountain Rescue Unit GREIM officers are also on duty right now, to help where they are needed.  The public are asked to keep to the instructions on barriers and, for their own safety, not to pass them. Yesterday, two snow ploughs, an excavator and 25 employees were used to clear the roads.
