Canary island tourists stranded.

This week it was announced that Olympus Airways Airline has stopped operating flights with the Canary Islands,

 This has affected 22,000 passengers who had booked flights mainly for Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria

Olympus Airways Airline had announced plans to stop flying to the Canary Islands after September 2018, but now says it cannot continue with immediate effect.

Tour operators are now busy finding alternative flights for those tourists affected by this sudden decision.

Although most Olympus Airways flights connected European cities with Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, it is reported that these flight cancellations have seriously affected Fuerteventura, as it had made 11 weekly flights linked to four European cities.
