Asiatic Baked Chicken


  • Whole Chicken
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Lemon
  • Chinese 5 spice powder (Rosario)
  • Coriander
  • Oil
  • Curry Powder
  • Chicken stock powder
  • Soy Sauce


  1. Get whole fresh chicken and pat dry with serviette. Sprinkle stock powder and rub mixture of garlic, ginger, lemon juice, 5 spice, curry powder (teaspoon) over chicken. Splash cover with soy sauce and let stand for 2 – 3 hours.

    Keep covering with marinade. Set oven at 180 and bake for 1 ½ hours. Keep basting with juices.

    Lovely served hot or cold with spicy rice salad or lemon rice. Beer is fantastic with this as is white wine.

    Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a splash of soy sauce before serving.

    Remember, never eat anything bigger than your shoe.
