Island Drug Arrests

The Guardia Civil of Corralejo on October 19 stopped three minors who allegedly sold different amounts of marijuana and hashish to tourists in the streets of the town.

There were  complaints by hotels that several people were engaged in offering drugs to customers as well as pedestrians.

The police  observed on several occasions how three minors were located in areas of abundant tourist traffic to get their attention first, and take them to another place further away to make the exchange or sale of the substance.

The agents then detained the three youths and intervened in different amounts of narcotic substances: thirteen bags of marijuana with a weight of 18.83 grams and four bags of single-dose hashish with a weight of 6.05 grams.

After the corresponding police proceedings, the minors have remained in the custody of their legal guardians and available to the Children's Prosecutor's Office of Las Palmas.
